Awaiting Kirsten

Here in sunny, crisp Florida, everything and everyone awaits with happy expectation beautiful Kirsten's arrival on the morrow . . .

The neighborhood and the light filtering through its
tropical hanging moss trees are hushed in expectation . . .

The lake waters are calm, reflecting the sky that
boasts blue for you, beautiful girl . . .

The sun peeks around trees and through wispy clouds
and off reflective waters in its joy to show off for you . . .

The house sparkles clean and stands ready
to show off its snug cuteness . . .

Solomon sits in my lap and asks,
"Will this girl let me lounge on her bed?"

Diva says, "I'm sleepy from my catnap,
but will she let me sleep next to her?"

Watch out! Kirk's got his party on . . .

And I've got my thrill on, big time!

Oh man, I WAS excited, but now I'm just a little JEALOUS! Although, I'm going to be going to Mexico in a little over two weeks, so I will be diving into some of that blessed warmth and beauty. I'm kidding about not being excited anymore. I'm mad excited for the two of you to have this opportunity to connect and relax and have some fun. Great pics Christianne. I loved Kirk with that party on.

hehe yeah, I gotta concur with Terri on that one. I love living in the mountains, but some of those pics really makes me wish for some warmer climates at times.

I hope you two have a FABULOUS time together! Take lots of pictures and don't try to take over too much of the world 8^D

Terri, you will definitely be present with us here, in spirit! Seriously, I think all of this blogging community will be a part of it because you'll be in our conversation and our prayers. Yes, that is right. We plan to join together in prayer over so many of the people and concerns and praises here in bloggy land while K is here.

I love that pic of Kirkum, too. :)

Hi, Sean! Your line about taking over the world made me bust out laughing. Hear us roar!! :)

I didn't realize you were living in the mountains these days. That's gotta be gorgeous, huh?

TOO, TOO CUTE!! How delightful!

As I was reading this post, sis was looking over my shoulder. We were both oohing & aahing over the scenery & giggling (OK, maybe just I was giggling) with delight at the pictures of your hairy babies that I'll get to meet in such a short while. Kirk with his party on ... well, all I can say is that I'll try & keep up!! :o)

The privilege is mine, dear friend. I cannot even believe that this day is here at last. Wow. And in typical girlie fashion: "SQUEALLLLLLL!!!!"

:o)

P.S. Those aren't Kate Spade eyeglass frames, are they? They look quite familiar ... :o)

Sarah, wildly glorious times sounds just up my alley. Inspiring thought!

Hi Kirst, it was fun to hear your voice on the phone for the first time today. I'm pretty sure I was flustering all over myself in my excitement. What was it I said once about being incredibly awkward on the phone? Yeah, I'm pretty sure I proved that theory tonight. :)

Glad you enjoyed the pics. These views will be much better in person, even!

My specs are Valentino. Have loved them for about two years but actually think it's about time for new ones soon!

Thanks, Eclexia! Yes, it is so nice to share new spaces with people close to our hearts. Makes it more real, more homey.

Hi, Bella! I know you are someone who certainly understands the blessing of girlfriends. Thanks for the well-wishes!

Have fun!
I mentioned to Robin (Pensieve) the other day--wouldn't it be fun to have a blogging cruise? All your blogging buddies in one place for a week.
Of course, we may not be able to speak without our computers.

So jealous!

Forecast for Mnpls/St Paul area: High today 10, (we hit that last night at 3:00am and it's been falling rapidly since then) low tonight -15 with 20-30 mph winds making for wind chills in the -40 range. And if we get the 1-3 in. of snow they're predicting I'll be driving in a good old fashioned blizzard tonight.

I'm just going to take those wonderful pics of your neighborhood with me in my mind tonight. Mind over matter, right?

Seriously, you guys have a wonderful time and enjoy the friendship.

Blessings

Thanks, Greg! Hopefully you'll get to enjoy some of the great Florida weather sometime soon.

Heather, that sounds like it would be a blast. I don't think we would even know what to do with ourselves.

Dave, that is M-I-G-H-T-Y C-O-L-D! Wow, and you have to drive around in it, come rain or come snow, for your job, huh? That's commitment. Keep safe, okay?

Your cat is really thinking, "Will this crazy girl put little dresses on me, poke my belly and call me "Fatty Mc Kitty"...and then make me eat gluten-free cat food, for Pete's sake?"

Have a great time, you two and post lot's of shuffleboard pictures (isn't that what y'all do in Florida?")

Poet, I'm glad to be the UN-recipient of your hate mail. Yikes! :)

23 Degrees: You made me laugh with King Solomon's quasi-voice-over. And shuffleboard . . . what's that?? J/K, I know what it is, I just don't KNOW what it is. Know what I mean? :)

Blue, yes, the lovely lady is here and well. It's positively wonderful to have her here and bask in her beautiful presence.

He he he!! Here I am, on Christianne's couch, looking out the window & peeking at that beautiful lake. I just got back from traipsing (yes, traipsing) around this exquisitely quaint neighborhood (in my flip flops, no less!) and wondering right now why in the world I failed to pack shorts ...

It's an absolute delight to be here. ;o)

Um, Kirtsen...I know it's Florida and it's warm, but you DO need to wear more than just flipflops!

Get ahold of yourself girl and BORROW some shorts!
